By boat from Portrush Harbour. The site is off the north east side of Black Rock, east of Large Skerries.

Portrush Harbour offers free car parking above the harbour, public toilets in the harbour office and a slipway on the North Pier. There is a barrier to the harbour which is staffed during office hours, 7 days a week from April – September. Fees apply; for use contact Portrush Harbour Office: 02870822307 / 0788981860.

Description:
A general description of the physical features of the dive site
A vertical, sloping bedrock reef, with ledges, terraces, gullies and fissures. Large, heavily silted boulders are interspersed on the sandy seabed.
Biodiversity:

The rocky wall is covered in dead man’s fingers Alcyonium digitatum and plumose anemones Metridium dianthus. Other life on the wall includes Devonshire cup corals Caryophyllia smithii, the antenna hydroid Nemertesia antennina, the white striped anemone Actinothoe sphyrodeta and occasional large clumps of the boring sponge Cliona celata.

- Follow VHF radio Channel 16 (156.8 MHz), the international distress frequency. Send a distress alert followed by ‘MAYDAY, MAYDAY, MAYDAY’ and ‘This is [boat name]’.
