On foot from Ballylumford Harbour or from Ferris Bay beach. The wreck is located beneath the tip of the headland to the west of Ferris Bay.
Free parking, a slipway, public toilets and outdoor changing facilities are available at Ballylumford Harbour (access to slipway restricted to Islandmagee Boat Club members; email: info@islandmageeboatclub.co.uk).
Nearest tank filling is Aquaholics, Portstewart/Ballycastle.
Be mindful of the ferry lane at Larne harbour.
The wreck is badly broken up and scattered across foul grounds.
Date of loss 13/01/1916. A 367 g.t. steamship, registered at Londonderry, which was wrecked on passage from Larne to Newport, Monmouthshire, carrying a cargo of potatoes. The crew of 12 were saved. The vessel was built at Maryport in 1889. (Sources: WA F59; Larn & Larn 2002).
