Follow the Greencastle Pier road, following signs for the Greencastle Ferry. After passing the ferry terminal on your left follow the road until reaching the headland. Park in the lay-by here and follow the footpath down to the beach to access the site to the south of the old Greencastle pier.
- The Greenore – Greencastle Ferry operates in the Lough. Avoid collision and the wake of the boat.
This is a sheltered training site, with a sandy seabed.
The site supports a variety of seaweeds and the old pier is teeming with life, mainly oaten pipe hydroids Tubularia indivisa.
